Are you a hands-on laboratory professional with a passion for chemistry, automation, and process improvement? We are looking for a Research Technician to support building block operations and laboratory workflows within a cutting-edge research environment.

Major Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Building Block & Laboratory Operations

  • Manage building block workflows from receipt and re-solubilization through delivery, storage, and shipment.
  • Prepare and provide chemical building blocks for laboratory teams and automated platforms.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure stock levels are continuously updated.
  • Perform re-solubilization and reformatting activities using automated liquid handling equipment.
  • Conduct quality control checks on incoming materials and associated documentation.
  • Coordinate outbound shipments of materials to external partners and vendors.

Process Improvement & Automation

  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, traceability, and operational performance.
  • Support the implementation of automation solutions to reduce manual processes.
  • Develop, review, and update work instructions and SOPs.

Instrumentation Support

  • Troubleshoot laboratory instruments and automated systems.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to minimize equipment downtime.

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Act as a key contact for laboratory teams regarding building block logistics and workflow support.
  • Work closely with scientists and operational teams to resolve issues and optimize processes.
  • Contribute to cross-functional projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with laboratory safety standards and procedures.
  • Support safe handling of chemicals and hazardous materials.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant laboratory environment.

What we're looking for:

  • Degree in Chemistry or a related scientific discipline.
  • Experience working in a laboratory environment involving compound handling, chemical inventory management, or workflow coordination.
  • Familiarity with automated liquid handling systems and laboratory software.
  • Strong digital skills, including Microsoft 365 applications and data management tools.
  • Experience with process optimization, automation, or continuous improvement initiatives is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of quality control processes and laboratory documentation practices.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
  • Fluent English communication skills, Swedish is a plus.
