About the CompanyAt Avaron, you get the security of permanent employment combined with the variety of working at different customers. We place specialists across everything from tech, IT and industry to project management and business support – and whatever the assignment, you have a consultant manager who is there for you and your development.
About the RoleYou will help evolve a business-critical integration platform in a large retail environment where multiple development teams rely on secure, stable, and scalable messaging services. This is a platform-focused role where you build, operate, and continuously improve integration capabilities with clear end-to-end ownership. Your main focus will be Kafka and HiveMQ administration, platform automation, and operational excellence rather than daily feature development, while still supporting integration initiatives when needed. The role suits you if you enjoy deep technical work, modern platform engineering, and close collaboration with security, architecture, and development teams. What makes this role especially interesting is the chance to shape core integration capabilities used across a complex enterprise landscape.

- You develop and maintain custom Kafka connectors for data movement between legacy systems and cloud environments.
- You define scaling strategies, node affinity rules, topology spread constraints, and persistent volume management for IOPS-intensive workloads.
- You manage partition layouts, topic compaction, retention settings, and cluster-wide resource allocation to keep the platform reliable and efficient.
- You design high-availability and disaster recovery solutions, including cross-region replication and automated failover.
- You implement security and governance controls such as Schema Registry management, Kafka ACLs, SASL, OAuth/OIDC integration, mTLS, SSL verification, and RBAC.
- You build observability and alerting with Prometheus, Grafana, and related tooling to detect issues before they affect production.
- You perform root cause analysis for incidents, improve platform guardrails, and provide advanced support for complex integration and messaging issues.
- You create reusable CI/CD pipelines, manage infrastructure as code, and enable self-service for development teams through clear abstractions and documentation.
